You're in the right place if you’re a Shopify store owner looking for a new theme; here, I’m putting one such option under the microscope.
Cue, Debutify
Today, I'm laying out everything you need to know about Debutify to help you determine if it’s a suitable theme for your store. More specifically, I’ll go through what it does, its features, pros, cons, and prices.
However, if you don't have time to read my complete Debutify review, here are the highlights:
The Debutify Theme is coding-free, used by 200,000+ businesses, and offers 50+ add-ons to help you improve your sales conversions and customer engagement. It provides a free 14-day trial across its four paid plans and a freemium account with limited features.
Debutify comes in five categories: fitness, active lifestyle, art, beauty and cosmetics, and health. So if you’re operating in any of those niches, Debutify is certainly worth a second glance.
That's enough preamble; let's kickstart this Debutify review!
What is Debutify?

At the time of writing, 200,000+ brands have used Debutify since its inception in 2020. Its USP is that, unlike other themes, it ‘optimizes your revenue’ and offers 50+ add-ons to help increase conversions, boost AOV, and increase your profits (more about Debutify’s add-ons below!)
Debutify is also mobile-friendly and coding-free. Plus, you can test it out for free for 14 days, with instant access to all its features and no credit card required.
Debutify themes come in a range of categories, including:
- Fitness
- Active Lifestyle
- Beauty and Cosmetics
- Health
- Art

From Debutify's home page, you can click any of the above categories and read a detailed case study about a business that successfully used the theme. At first glance, the themes look attractive and contemporary.
Although it’s true to say Debutify is a Shopify theme, you won’t find it in the Shopify App Store. Debutify explains why on its website, saying it doesn’t want to be ‘locked up’ in the Shopify App Store because it ‘limits what we can do with Debutify Theme,’ they liken this set-up as ‘having your brand on your own platform rather than inside Amazon.’
So now you have a brief overview, let’s move on with our Debutify theme review.
Getting Started
To get going, you need to create a Debutify account.
Head to their home page and click the purple ‘Try For Free’ button in the top right corner.
You’ll then be prompted to type in the following:
- Name
- Email address
- Password
- Your Shopify store domain

You’re then sent an email with an account verification link which will take you to your Debutify dashboard. Simple!
You can manage all aspects of your Debutify account from your dashboard, including billing and add-ons. From here, you can also access support.

Debutify also sends a separate email with a ‘Download Theme’ button. Clicking this lets you download the theme and link it to your store. Alternatively, you can do this via your dashboard.
At this point, it’s worth noting that within your dashboard, you can access a step-by-step video called “Walkthrough: How to Download and Install Debutify Theme?.”
I simply downloaded Debutify from the dashboard by clicking the ‘Get the theme’ button. Once the zip file had finished downloading, I opened a separate tab and loaded my Shopify Admin. From there, I clicked: ‘Themes’ under the ‘Online store’ tab.
Next, I scrolled down through my theme library to upload the Debutify zip file.
Voila, that’s it!
Debutify Add-ons
Debutify’s add-ons are apps designed by their team of expert developers; they’re organized into the following categories:
- Cart maximizers: There are eight add-ons designed to boost average order value and increase sales. For example, the ‘add-to-cart animation’ and the ‘cart upsell’ add-ons. The latter allows you to showcase additional products for customers to purchase from their cart page, making it a great option for boosting sales.
- Conversion triggers: There are nine add-ons to help provide customers with a better and faster shopping experience. For example, the ‘cart discount add-on’ allows shoppers to enter discount codes before checking out. There’s also the ‘customizable products add-on’ that empowers shoppers to customize certain products, for example, mugs or t-shirts. I also like the look of the ‘upsell pop-up’ add-on, which makes it easy to recommend products based on what’s already in the customer’s shopping cart.
- Loyalty builders: Three add-ons enable you to offer rewards and discounts to entice customer loyalty and repeat purchases. For example, the ‘wish list’ add-on allows customers to build a list of items they hope to buy in the future. This makes it much simpler for customers to find and purchase the products they want when they return to your online store.
- Shopping enhancers: There are 31 add-ons to increase sales and improve customer satisfaction. For example, the ‘menu bar add-on’ allows you to display a small scrollable drop-down menu beneath your store header to make it easier for customers to navigate your store. There’s also the ‘page speed booster add-on,’ which, yes, you guessed it, helps your site load faster, which is imperative for providing a better customer experience. Also worthy of note is the ‘quick view add-on,’ which enables customers to select a product and read a summary about it without navigating to the product page.
- Shop protectors: There are four add-ons to help create a safe and secure shopping experience. For example, the ‘age check add-on’ can verify a visitor’s age before granting access to your store. This might be used, for instance, if you’re selling alcohol.
Aside from the Debutify website, I could access more information about the add-ons from my dashboard.
There, I could see 55 add-ons to choose from; some are standard, and others are premium. I could also see the Shopify logo on a few add-ons, but it’s unclear if these add-ons are only for Shopify store owners or if it means that Shopify owners can only access the add-ons that bear the Shopify logo.

That said, in each instance, you can click the ‘Help Center’ button to see more information about what the add-on does and how to install it. You can also click on the add-on’s title to watch an explainer video.

Debutify Review: Debutify Support
The type of customer support you can access depends on your plan (see our pricing section).
You can access support from your dashboard by clicking the Support button. You can then either head to the Help Center or send Debutify’s customer support a message via chat or email.

Please note: If you’re a free plan user, you can only access Debutify’s self-service materials.
The Help Center has a variety of self-help articles organized into categories, including getting started, billing, integrations, add-ons, and more. Debutify Review: My Final Verdict
So that’s all for my Debutify review. Hopefully, you now have a better idea of what it can do for you.
Overall, I think Debutofy has a good range of add-ons, and its dashboard seems simple to navigate; more specifically, I like the in-dashboard videos that explain how to use the app and add each add-on to your store. These are simple to understand and very helpful.
However, I think it could be clearer which add-ons are exclusively for Shopify users (or not). Also, to unlock all of Debutofy’s features, you’ll have to upgrade to the Enterprise plan, which demands a pretty steep monthly fee!
If you’re unsure if Debutify’s for you, why not sign up for its free trial first? As you don’t have to provide your credit card details, you have nothing to lose by giving it a go! Needless to say, this is the best way to get a feel for whether Debutify offers everything you need from your Shopify theme.
