I’ve spent enough time working with ecommerce brands over the years to know that fulfillment is often the biggest challenge for many sellers.

Every country has different rules, every product type has its own complexities, and every customer has high expectations.

The good news is there are a lot of organizations out there that focus specifically on building tools or services that help teams manage fulfillment. The bad news is it’s not always easy to figure out which ones are actually going to be useful.

WAPI is one of the leaders trying to solve everything at once, with flexible 3PL software, logistics automation tools, and specialist services.

They serve companies all over the UK and Europe, promising to make cross border shipments more efficient, and less exhausting.

But, of course, companies don’t grow on promises alone. So I dug in, tested the platform, and looked at how WAPI performs in the real world.

Quick Verdict: Is WAPI Worth It?

Would I recommend WAPI to everyone? No. But if you’re serious about expanding sales in Europe, and you’re tired of juggling a dozen vendors, it’s worth considering.

Sure, there are some downsides (no transparent pricing for one), but it’s still a great solution.

The platform feels modern. The integrations actually work. Plus, the network is bigger than most upstart fulfillment providers I’ve tested.

WAPI Review: My Hands-On Experience

If you haven’t come across WAPI before, that’s because it’s not quite a household name yet. But it is gaining traction fast among European e-commerce brands that have outgrown the usual patchwork of warehouses and apps.

WAPI is basically an end-to-end fulfillment services provider, focusing exclusively on the UK and EU. It’s partially a software platform, partially a logistics network, and it offers you a team for expert support and services too.

The interesting thing about WAPI is that while it is “ecommerce fulfillment focused”, it also offers more specialized assistance for certain companies. For example, if you’re selling supplements or cosmetics, they can manage storage requirements, compliance, and shelf-life tracking.

WAPI is also ideal for ecommerce sellers who rely on Cash on Delivery (COD) — one of the few platforms that handles COD fulfillment natively at scale without extra contracts or integrations.

Beyond the warehouses and software, WAPI bakes in tools that most companies have to bolt on later. You can handle cash-on-delivery orders right through the platform.

Here’s a deep dive look at what WAPI has to offer.

Fulfillment Software: The Nerve Center

If you’ve ever tried to scale e-commerce across multiple countries, you know how complicated it can be. That’s why “simplified” fulfillment software is the heart of WAPI’s service stack. At the center of everything is a single dashboard.

That’s where you do pretty much everything – integrating sales channels, tracking orders, monitoring inventory, and so on.

From this (pretty streamlined) space, you can access tools for:

  • Inventory Management & Stock Movement: This isn’t your basic SKU list. WAPI lets you add SKUs or bundles, track real-time stock movements, and forecast inventory levels.
  • Multiple Warehouses & Multi‑Country Stocking: Stock in different locations? No problem. You can easily distribute inventory between Europe and the UK, then let the system manage outbound flows based on proximity or cost.
  • Pick, Pack & Ship Automation: Once orders roll in, WAPI’s automation rules take over, routing to the right warehouse, choosing the optimal courier from its “virtual carrier network,” and generating packing slips and labels in seconds
  • Returns & Reverse Logistics: WAPI includes label creation, return tracking, and refund or exchange processing. So you can avoid email chains and keep customers happy.
  • Claims Portal: Mismatched orders, damage in transit? The claims portal gives you a structured way to submit and track claims. It’s a lifesaver when problems occur.
  • Customer Tracking & Communication: Want customers updated? WAPI provides a post‑purchase tracking page and an announcement system (SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram, email) so you can send status updates without extra apps.
  • Reporting & Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) Tracking: WAPI offers country-level daily reports, customizable dashboards, and GMV tracking. The reports are clean, straightforward, and pretty easy to customize.
  • Invoices & Financial Transparency: Every order ties back to a clear invoice. You can track outstanding balances, reconciled items, and cost breakdowns, all in one spot.
  • Virtual Carrier Network: Rather than just one courier, WAPI taps a network of shipping partners, automatically selecting the best carrier based on price, destination, and speed.

My Thoughts

If all that sounds like a lot to get your head around, it can be at first. But really, once you’ve taken a bit of time to explore everything, it starts to feel a lot more straightforward.

Connecting your store is really simple, and once your catalog is imported you get a clean interface to manage products, including bundles and variants.

The Extra Fulfillment Features

There are a couple of “extras” in WAPI’s fulfillment toolkit that stood out to me too.

First is the “cash on delivery” solution. That might sound outdated, but it’s still pretty common in many parts of Europe. WAPI handles COD natively, so there are no extra contracts with third-party payment processors.

I tested a few dummy orders set to COD, and settlement tracking was baked right into the dashboard. You can see which orders are pending payment, which are settled, and which failed. It’s a small detail, but if you’ve ever tried to track COD manually, you know how messy it gets fast.

The second big thing is the “specialized fulfillment” services.

You can request expert support with more complicated product categories: specifically cosmetics, and supplements. With both, you get access to things like batch tracking, expiry monitoring, and special handling.

WAPI did a better job here than most 3PL platforms I’ve used. The system flags expiring inventory, supports separate storage zones, and tracks lot numbers automatically. If you’re in regulated categories, this is a big advantage.

WAPI Review: Logistics & Amazon Services

Software is one thing, but at the end of the day, your customers don’t care about your dashboards. They care about whether their order shows up, on time, in good shape.

That’s why I spent extra time looking at WAPI’s physical logistics: warehousing, final mile delivery, and Amazon prep.

Some 3PLs have fantastic tech but fall apart when the box leaves the building. I wanted to see if WAPI could deliver consistency beyond the software.

3PL Logistics & Warehousing

WAPI runs fulfillment out of more than 15 warehouses spread across Europe and the UK, including locations in Germany, Poland, Spain, Italy, Hungary, and the UK.

If you’re used to working with smaller regional 3PLs, the scale here feels different, like working with a large, networked partner than a mom-and-pop operation.

I tested inventory distribution across a couple of sites to see how well the system handled cross-border storage. Goods were received in about a day, and the inbound process was fully trackable in the software.

I could see the moment products were logged, shelved, and made available for orders.

One thing that stood out: WAPI pushes you to keep stock in-country instead of relying on cross-border shipping for every order. This is smart. Local fulfillment means faster deliveries and lower costs.

You avoid customs bottlenecks that can wreck delivery times, especially during peak season.

Final Mile Delivery

A big promise WAPI makes is 24–48-hour delivery across Europe. In my experience, this claim mostly holds up. Orders to major markets like Germany, France, Spain arrived within two days, often faster.

Part of this is thanks to their partnerships with a broad mix of couriers: DPD, Royal Mail, and a bunch of regional carriers. The system automatically picks the best option based on destination, price, and service level. You don’t need to negotiate rates separately, which is a huge time saver.

If you’re coming from a setup where you manually arrange last-mile delivery, this alone could save hours every week.

Amazon Preparation

If you’re selling on Amazon, you already know how picky FBA can be about labeling, packing, and shipment prep. WAPI operates dedicated Amazon preparation centers in Germany and the UK, which handle compliance, so you don’t have to sweat the details.

WAPI’s team can label, pack, and prep everything to Amazon’s requirements. No surprise charges, no rejections. For brands moving serious volume on Amazon, this could be a lifesaver.

You can also ship inventory from WAPI warehouses straight to Amazon.

That’s pretty helpful if you’re trying to balance direct-to-consumer selling with marketplace fulfillment as your business grows. Plus, they do offer picking, packing, and shipping services for other ecommerce companies too – even if you’re not using Amazon.

Warehouse Management System

One of the reasons WAPI is able to run consistent fulfillment is the backbone of its warehouse management system (WMS). Most of this is invisible to you as a client, but you’ll feel the effects, with fewer mispacks, faster receiving, and clearer tracking.

What I like is that you still get full visibility. The dashboard shows you stock movement, inbound receipts, outbound shipments, and returns, all in real time.

There’s no waiting for a weekly report to figure out what’s happening with your inventory.

The WMS also supports demand forecasting and replenishment alerts. If you don’t have an in-house ops team, those nudges can keep you ahead of stockouts.

How Much Does WAPI Cost?

I wish I could walk you through everything WAPI charges for all of its services and tools, but no such luck.

With WAPI you won’t find a tidy pricing grid or a “Starter / Pro / Enterprise” chart on their site.

Instead, you have to hop on a call, share some details about what you’re shipping, how much of it you’re moving, and where it’s going. Then you wait while they put together a custom proposal.

Honestly, that approach isn’t ideal for everyone. From one perspective, it means you know your pricing is actually tailored to you. You might even end up with better rates than you’d usually get from an off-the-shelf plan depending on your situation.

But it’s also hard to really budget and decide whether WAPI is worthwhile without investing extra time and effort into sales calls.

WAPI will eventually spell everything out for you in clear, transparent terms, which is good. You’ll just have to wait around for the run-down.

WAPI Review: My Verdict

After a few weeks putting WAPI through its paces, connecting stores, testing workflows, and watching how real orders were handled, I came away with a pretty clear perspective.

If you’re looking to scale e-commerce across Europe and need a partner who can handle more than basic parcel shipping, WAPI deserves serious consideration.

It has a strong warehouse network, great last-mile delivery, and a very well-made, unified software platform.

One of the biggest wins for ecom sellers is WAPI’s built-in Cash on Delivery service — it’s rare to find a fulfillment partner that handles COD across Europe without requiring third-party contracts.

There is a bit of a learning curve, and the lack of a transparent pricing is a downside – but those things shouldn’t put you off entirely.

I really do think this solution could be a good option for many businesses – particularly those with large-scale inventories, or complex products.

If you’re still in the early days, though, just moving a couple dozen orders a month, this might be more infrastructure than you need.
