Did you know that Germany has the fifth largest ecommerce market in the world?
If that piqued your interest, you might be wondering how to set about enjoying a slice of that pie.
Perhaps youโre based in Germany? Or maybe you plan on selling products to the German market? In either instance, you might consider dropshipping.
Dropshipping is a popular ecommerce fulfillment model because you don't have to invest in stock upfront or store inventory. Plus, your dropshipping supplier handles order fulfillment and shipping for you.
If that sounds good, continue reading my list of the best dropshipping suppliers in Germany. I'll review their pros, cons, and prices so that, hopefully, by the end of this round-up, youโll have a better idea of the best options for your eCommerce business.
There's lots to sink our teeth into, so let's dive in!
Best Dropshipping Suppliers in Germany
Is Dropshipping Legal in Germany?
Yes, itโs legal, although itโs always sensible to familiarize yourself with the relevant laws. For example, research German consumer laws and VAT regulations to see what applies to your eCommerce venture.
Itโs also wise to only work with suppliers that comply with EU product safety standards.
Itโs also worth considering the German Packaging Act (VerpackG). This dictates that retailers sending packaged shipments to Germany have to pay a fee for disposing and recycling the packaging they import to Germany.
How to Start a Dropshipping Business in Germany
Starting a dropshipping business in Germany requires the same level of background research as in any other country. That said, hereโs a brief list of pointers to help get you started:
- Register your business in Germany: if you plan on doing business there.
- Use Google Trends to see which products are popular in Germany over set periods.
- Pinpoint your competitors and evaluate their pricing strategies so you can stay competitive.
- Source reputable suppliers: I.e., assess their product quality, shipping times, warehouse locations, returns policy, product reviews, etc., before advertising their wares on your website.

However, looking at its terms and conditions, its Intellectual Property Property Rights section doesnโt expressly forbid it. That said, you canโt use any of its product images, illustrations, videos, etc., on your store, so youโll have to take your own images.
One way to use Shein for dropshipping is to integrate Shein with your Shopify or WooCommerce store using SheinImporter.
Alternatively, you can order products directly from Shein in bulk, take custom pictures, and brand your packaging. Shein reportedly offers discounts for anyone planning on buying in bulk.
