A few months ago we launched Unsplash for Media to bring the highest-quality open library to media organizations, both big and small. Since then, we've added new partners like publishing powerhouse BuzzFeed, content management systems Alex Desk and RebelMouse, and updated our partnerships with publishing platforms Medium and Ghost.

But the content management system that powers over 37% of the internet has been missing official Unsplash support, until today.

We're excited to say that starting today you can bring all of the power and beauty of Unsplash inside your WordPress posts.

We teamed up with publishing experts XWP, who helped Google bring AMP to WordPress and have worked with Rolling Stone, Newscorp, and Heavy amongst others, to build publishing experiences that are fast, easy to use, and fit the broad range of modern workflows.

Our initial release today contains all of the core features you'd expect: 1-click onboarding, quick intuitive search, easy insertion of images into posts, native support for the WordPress Media Library, automatic alt descriptions for improved accessibility and SEO, and the fastest image loading around thanks to the Unsplash CDN's dynamic image resizing.

At launch, we officially support WordPress 4.9 and higher, WordPress VIP installs, and both Gutenberg and the Classic editor.

We'll continue working with XWP to bring more features and support the broad range of WordPress uses by the community in future releases.
