AdRoll review

The primary functionality behind AdRoll is with video advertisements, email, social media, and display ads. The goal is to boost your sales with this combination, getting the word out about your products and converting those users who come to your site as a result. AdRoll also provides the data you need to measure and understand why some users may convert and why some may not.

Overall, AdRoll puts your company in front of customers with the help of media outlets, popular social media sites, and more.

For instance, you might want to get an ad out about your website in People Magazine or ESPN. AdRoll can help you get there. You may also want some awesome articles or videos being shared through Facebook or other social sites. The AdRoll feature-set provides options for attracting more website visitors, converting those visitors into paying customers, and measuring how well your marketing efforts are doing.

AdRoll is a little unique since it's not just a software but a full marketing service that guides you through the process of finding the perfect customers and then marketing to them properly.

AdRoll Review: Pricing

AdRoll charges based on “ad spend,” or however much money you spend per month for the advertisements being broadcasted. So, essentially, you're committing to an ad network and campaign that is going to help your business right off the bat. Then, you receive a wide range of additional tools and features that AdRoll includes in the pricing packages for you.

๐Ÿ’ก Note: This ad spend is not a fixed cost that AdRoll makes you pay. Instead, it all depends on how much engagement your company gets from things like ads and emails. It's like pay-per-click ads, meaning you don't spend money if the ads aren't effective.

Here's what you receive with your monthly ad spend from AdRoll:

  • Spend up to $1,000 per month on ads – You get online and help center support for your account setup and throughout the life of your account. You also gain access to a complimentary ad creative two times per year, along with dynamic ads presented as a self-serve tool.
  • Spend up to $5,000 per month on ads – Get online, help center, and dedicated support. You also receive a complimentary ad creative four times per year, a self-serve tool for dynamic ads, account management, and quarterly strategy meetings.
  • Spend up to $10,000 per month on ads – Receive all online and help center support. You also get limited strategy and tech sessions, a monthly ad creative, custom designer for your ads, account management, monthly strategy meetings, and limited strategic reporting.
  • Spend over $10,000 per month on ads – Gain access to the top-notch support from AdRoll. You also receive limited strategy and tech sessions, an ongoing ad creative, a custom designer for ads, a strategic account team, bi-weekly strategy meetings, full reporting, a dedicated performance optimization team, and full API support.

AdRoll Review: The Interface

As we have mentioned in some of the previous sections, AdRoll separates its platform into three sections. That being said, all of your tools are stored in one easy to use dashboard. These tools include options for creating advertisements, retargeting, and measuring the marketing impact of those advertisements.

Overall, I would argue that the AdRoll interface could be understood by just about anyone. You don't need to be an advanced marketer or web designer to create your advertisements and your retargeting campaigns. And, of course, that's pretty much the point of AdRoll.

I feel like the Insights area of the AdRoll dashboard is a good example of how clean and modern the dashboard looks. For instance, the following screenshot outlines conversion paths for a collection of customers based on retargeting methods. As you can see, the dashboard is rather intuitive and breaks down the average order value, conversions, and other information for the several retargeting methods used.

You could also look at things like attribution. This credits where conversions are coming from, with the percentages based on sources such as email retargeting and Facebook. Overall, it seems like it's very easy to move around the dashboard and jump from things like cross-channel marketing to the advertisement design module.

The final screenshot we have highlights things like total site conversions and graphs for touched and untouched conversions. It may take a little bit of learning to understand exactly what some of this means, but in general, the average business person should be able to log into their account and fully absorb the information displayed on the AdRoll dashboard.

AdRoll Review: Customer Support

Customer support is another thing to consider when looking into an advertisement platform like AdRoll. To start, you can find a chat box on the AdRoll website to solve any pressing sales or technical questions. The company also has a page for resources, customer stories, and a blog.

A developer API page is there for expanding upon your interface and integrating with third-party systems. The primary method of online customer support is through the help center. This is where you can find a wide range of videos and articles on topics like advertisements, reporting, and integrations.

AdRoll Has locations all over the world, from Sydney to Chicago and Salt Lake City to Dublin. You can contact the sales team and the customer support team through email. Once you become a customer the phone lines are opened up to you and you even get excellent support for onboarding, technical support, and design help. Simply take a look at the pricing plans and see what type of personalized support you would receive for spending a certain amount of money on advertisements.

Who Should Consider AdRoll for Their Online Store?

When it comes to advertising your online store it's important to have a system set up for attracting as many customers as possible and converting those visitors into paying customers. That's what AdRoll is all about. It provides a wonderful system for the average business person to build relevant ads and then share them with the customers that would click through the most. After that, you can actually measure how well your marketing efforts are doing.

Another thing I like about AdRoll is that the company seems extremely dedicated to its customers by providing occasional marketing meetings and even an advertisement design specialist. The pricing may scare some companies away, but rapidly growing businesses should have no problem reaching the advertisement minimums–especially since you're spending that money on your own company.
