Shopify Inc., a leading cloud-based platform for multichannel commerce for SMBs, has announced that it has promoted Harley Finkelstein to the post of Chief Operating Officer. As the first COO of the company, Finkelstein will responsible for Corporate and Business Development, Merchant Support, Sales, the Shopify Partner and app store, and Shopify Plus along with all the external initiatives. Adyen, the global payments technology company, today announced that it processed $50 billion in transaction volume in 2015, up from $25 billion, and achieved revenue of $350 million, a growth of more than 100 percent over 2014. The results underscore how Adyen is building on its position as the global partner of choice for international ecommerce, and is rapidly expanding its point of sale offering by connecting a new range of customers to its omnichannel payments platform.
Czech e-commerce in 2015 was more successful than had been expected and the future looks promising, according to figures from the Association for Electronic Commerce (APEK). The Czech Trade Inspection Authority, however, still urges people to seek out reputable online vendors with good references before spending money online.
